Mr. Chavez

A Southern California native, Mr. Chavez began his training in Karate in 1985. He earned his First Degree Black Belt (Shodan) in 1992 and his Second Degree (Nidan) in 1996. He also earned a First Degree in Kenpo in 2000 and holds a Second Degree in Tae Kwon Do. Mr. Chavez has trained in Judo, Aikido, Tang Soo Do and kickboxing. He began teaching karate in 1989 and has been Chief Instructor at Frederick Martial Arts since 2013.  Since becoming sole proprietor of FMA, Mr. Chavez developed a program supporting each individual students’ growth and has maintained the philosophy of modeling courtesy, discipline, and respect.
